Oliver Tillard Joins CMS as Account Director

Oliver Tillard has joined CMS Strategic as Account Director. He will be responsible for developing communication, engagement, and PR strategies as well as managing the delivery of campaign for our clients.

Oliver was previously a Senior Communications Manager at the Ministry of Defence, managing a team responsible for developing strategic aims and implementing communication plans to effectively engage and inform public audiences, and the media, about Defence policies and initiatives. This was alongside his role as press secretary to the Minister for Defence People, Veterans and Service Families.

Prior to the working at the MoD Oliver spent eight years as an infantry officer in the British Army, which included operational tours in Afghanistan and running information operations in the Middle East.

The last ten years have given Oliver a deep understanding of defence, and a wealth of experience in communications, public relations, and strategic engagement which will be used to support clients with their strategic communication requirements.
